The Font Harmony Help documents on the Suitcase II disk contain the text of the online help windows that are available within the Font Harmony application. We put them on the disk in case you’d like to print them. The information they contain is covered in the User’s Guide, however.

There are a couple of points that were inadvertently omitted from the User’s Guide. If you have not used the original version of Suitcase and/or are not familiar with Macintosh terminology, the following may not mean too much now; if that’s the case we suggest you come back to this document after reading the User’s Guide.
(1) It’s OK to use Font/DA Mover to move fonts or desk accessories into or out of a suitcase that is opened by Suitcase II AS LONG AS A DESK ACCESSORY IS NOT OPEN. Of course, a DA can be open while you are using Font/DA Mover only if MultiFinder is on — since Font/DA Mover does not have an Apple menu. If you use Font/DA Mover with MultiFinder and operate on an open suitcase file, make sure no desk accessory is in use. NOTE THAT SOME DAS DO NOT CLOSE THEMSELVES PROPERLY and are “in use” even after you close them. To be sure no DA is really in use with MultiFinder on, try to switch to the desk accessory “layer” by clicking on the icon that MultiFinder places at the right side of the menu bar; keep clicking until you return to the application in which you first clicked — that is, cycle through the open applications. If you reach DA Handler — whose menu bar contains only the Apple, File, and Edit menus -- choose Quit from its File menu to force closure of any open desk accessories.
(2) The same applies to use of ResEdit or other resource-editing programs on an open suitcase file. Unlike Font/DA Mover, ResEdit has an Apple menu, so the warning applies also when MultiFinder is off: make sure no desk accessory is currently open.

If you have been using the original version of Suitcase, please note that Suitcase II does NOT look for specially named files and folders at startup. Instead, it automatically reopens the suitcases that were open before, no matter where they are located. This means that you’ll have to open your “permanent” suitcases with the Suitcase II desk accessory once (but only once). Chapter 1 of the User’s Guide is especially for users of the original version of Suitcase.
